I decided to install VoodooHDA v2.9.0d10 to get sound working on my hackintosh but now I'm in a kernel panic boot loop. I can boot in safe mode, but I can't find a VoodooHDA.kext in the Extensions folder. How do I uninstall it?

Hello everyone,

Is it possible to run a PCIe-Soundcard with Mac OS?
I buyed a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy FX (Hardware ID: 10ec:0899), because it has a ALC898 Chip, which is also commonly used by mainboard-manufactures and a lot of people have a working osx86 with this chip.

Long story short: I tried to use a lot of possible ways to get this card running including AppleALC.kext, Lilu.kext and VoodooHDA.kext but none of them worked properly.

Sorry meant to say High Sierra 10.13.4....I could use some help with my sound. I have managed to get most of my hackintosh working, and now I am stuck with no sound. I have installed my hackintosh using Unibeast and Multibeast. I have tried what I found online but with no luck. I added the AppleALC.kext and Lilu.kext to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other but had no luck. I have also tried using Multibeast and added the ALC1220 codec + 100/200/300 Series Audio Support, as well as each of the VoodooHDA...

Hello mates,

I have two audio interfaces: Behringer UM2 and Steinberd UR12 and it worked flawlessly with Multi-Output on Sierra before.

But it's no more after an update to High Sierra. Now, every time I choose Multi-Output Device setting (selected 2 audio interfaces on the list) then all audio stops - only works when I select one single audio interface which is not listed on Multi-Output Device.

- Tracked on Console which is said something about "failed to lock the buffer" related Audio...

So brass tacks and all, everything else is working, but for the life of me, i cannot get the AppleALC.kext and Lilu.kext provided by github vit9696, using newest versions of each kext made available. I will be attaching my config plist and the 2 updated kexts i attempted to use(IF asked by admin) by it would seem clover method, put the two kexts in...

Hi Toleda,

Wonder if you can suggest something that will address this issue.
I have tried the VoodooHDA.kext/VoodooHDAa.kext suggested fixes and neither of them help.
In the case of VoodooDHA - no change at all to my existing Audio and in the case of VoodooHDAa.kext Voodoo basically replaced my HDA altogether! I am posting a screenshot if what I have working and also what happens when I install VoodooHDAa...
Basically I can get HDA but none of the other LineOut options offer any sound at...

Because a few users ask if audio is possible with this codec, especially for the GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 mainboard, here some solutions:

Below, a fully patched kext that gives you the default outputs. For headphones and front microphone you can use the attached switcher. Other layouts are also possible.
Why a fully patched kext? because i think it is the easiest way to make audio working. The Gigabyte Gaming 7 users, without a patched DSDT need only the HDAS to HDEF clover-patch.

If you want to...

Hi there,

Got a Maximus VIII Ranger board which has the SupremeFX 2015 audio, I got it working using ALC1150 and 100 series audio via MultiBeast. I found an issue where when watching say a youtube video then switching to another youtube video, I loose sound until I put it to sleep or reboot. This is over SPDIF if that makes any difference.

Has anyone else came across this issue and fixed it? I do have an external card which works fantastic on OSX, but if I can have one less lead and use...

A few days ago I decided to Hackintosh my new pc. The installation went good and I managed to figure everything out but audio. I've been looking around the forums and the internet for a way to get audio to work with ALC887 but all of the methods that I tried simply didn't work. I tried various kexts and patches but none of them worked.

This CustoMac install went very smoothly until it came time to try patching audio.

I’ve got the system installed on an NVMe SSD fully updated 10.13.4 as of yesterday, 1060 web graphics, sleep, both LANs, USBs and SATA all nice and stable.

That was all mostly within Multibeast, though iMessage required Clover Configurator to create a hardware serial and smbios before it began working. I also had to reset the network config to get the correct SMB address of 0 and 1 for my LANs before...

In process of troubleshooting a new installation of HS 10.13.4 on a new GA-Z370N-WIFI board. Booting is good, but no sound and "no output device" errors. I've tried everything(AppleALC+lilu.kext,realtekALC.kext, multibeast, all possible guides, tried all codes in clover) but still can't manage to get audio to work. Should I try to clean install High Sierra again, but with AppleALC+lilu.kext?

Hey there!

I'm kind of new to Hackintosh so you might want to explain everything detailed (sorry for the inconvenience, this is just a quick disclaimer haha)

I've been battling with my audio on my Hackintosh for a couple of days now and I can't seem to make it work.
Here's a screenshot from my current Audio setup (http://prntscr.com/jl1dv9) (Only DisplayPort exports clear audio, the rest doesn't work).

I don't know if it any help but I used the "CloverALC audio.command"...

Hi all,

Couple days ago I installed macOS High Sierra (and successfully update to newest version) on my PC with ASUS Z97-A motherboard with integrated Realtek ALC862 audio. Everything work great, also audio work (with Realtek ALC862 driver installed from newest version of MultiBeast) but I have strange problem with it. When macOS start I hear something like short "pop" or "crack" sound (probably I dont know name it corectly, english is not my native language, sorry for that). This sound...
