Hello

I'm thinking about to update to Mojave.
Does someone know if soundflower is still working?

Thanks!

My sound device is cx20588, which by default USES the laptop's built-in sound. The first case: when the headset is connected, the system automatically switches the state, but the headset has no sound; Another case: plug in the earphone first, and the earphone is normal after entering the system. After dialing out the earphone, you can switch to the built-in sound and work normally. But when you plug in your headphones again, as in the first case, the system switches to the headset, but the...

Add Conexant CX20632 to AppleALC

It seems CX20632 is not in the AppleALC resources list, I’ve tried to add the codec to AppleALC following the link https://github.com/acidanthera/AppleALC/wiki/Adding-codec-support, but without luck. something is out of my knowledge and it is not as easy as the tutorial in the link.

I have the codec dump from linux, and if anyone can help me add CX20632 to AppleALC?

Thank you very much.

Xonar DGX?

Hello community,
I know there was some threads, but are too old, and my hope that something changed is present.
I want to make a Hackintosh with my config, but without my relatively new acquisition, Xonar DGX, I will probably stay on Windows.
Is there a driver for Mac? I want just analog stereo output.
Thanks!

Dell Optiplex 9020 Mid Tower / Realtek ALC3220

Hi there!

I'm fairly new to the Hackintosh scene, I have gotten the whole thing set up fairly nicely with the glaring omission of the audio.

I have looked around and I know what the ALC I need to find (Kext for Realtek ALC3220) but I can't seem to get anywhere with it.

After struggling with this for a week and installing so many kext I don't know what to do any more.

Any help would be greatly appreciated or if someone has the answer which I haven't found yet then.

Cheers!

Hi.
I am trying to get up the dell XPS 9730 as Hackintosh.
Now I am running into the following problem:
The internal speakers are not recognized.
My Audio: Realtek ALC3271 (Intel Kaby Lake-U/Y PCH - High Definition Audio)

I used the Guide with
AppleALC.kext
Lilu.kext
and change HDAS to HDEF
via Clover.
But looking up the Supported Codecs: https://github.com/acidanthera/AppleALC/wiki/Supported-codecs, but couldn't find any matching codec.

Then I tried...

I tried using SSDT and also the Lilu.kext and Applealc.kext. The dreaded ALC662v2 doesn't show up. I tried the long thread of Realtek https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/applehda-realtek-audio-guide.234732/ but it doesn't explicitly say anything about C602/X79 more than I seems to not be natively supported. So I tried making dsdt-edit with AZAl to HDEF replace which from what I understand will not work, but I tried anyways. Anyone got a hint for me?

I got the HDMI / DP working...

Hello,
I've recently updated my Hackintoshes to new SSDs and installed Clover and Sierra using Unibeast & Multibeast. Everything is working fine except for audio. Both motherboards use the ALC892 Realtek for audio

1.Hardware: Gigabyte Z-H97M-D3H
CPU: i5 (3.9 ghz) Haswell
Graphics: GeForce 650 TI.

2. Gigabyte Z-77N
CPU: i5 (3.39) Haswell
Graphics: Intel HD 4000 graphics

I've read the Apple DHA Realtek Audio Guide and understand about 20% of it... Anyone have any advice or help...

AppleALC High CPU Temp & System Usage

Hi,
I had a Dell Inspiron 7370 laptop. The audio is working fine with latest AppleALC and Lilu kext. However, when I use AppleALC with the right inject id (13 and 28), the CPU temp goes up and the frequency stays around 3.7 GHz. I also tried AppleHDA Patcher, which is similar to using AppleALC with id=3 (which it can recognize but no sound). Besides no sound, the CPU has the exact same issue. Here I have uploaded Intel Power Gadget monitoring just when the system started. Also a problem...

Hi,

This is my first build, and when I see comments like "inject" or "mount EFI", I am not exactly sure how to do it. When suggesting what to do, if these are in the steps, please tell me how.

Ok, with this out of the way, here is the problem. Video files aren't playing through iTunes, QuickTime, Preview, etc. At first, I got a "QuickTime unknown error (-101)." I installed VLC, but that didn't make much of a difference either. Also, I have no audio, or option for audio in System...

Hi guys,

I got a problem with my hackintosh Sierra (10.12.4).
I got everything working (USB 3.0, got 15 USB activated, I identified all my USB ports on my mobo : Z270X-Gaming 5).
I even have a USB 3.0 PCI (it does not count for the 15 USB ports limit right ?).

Everything, every usb devices are recognized without any problem, even USB 3.0 devices, except for my sound card. It does not recognize it 100% of the time, I sometimes need to restart several times to get it recognized by macOS (but...

SPDIF onboard digital audio from Realtek -- best option?

I'm using 10.12.6 with ASUS PRIME B250M-A motherboard, which has the ALC887 chipset. I have sound working with multibeast realtek audio, but it only provides sound when I use the "Internal Speakers" (actually it's the green port) output option in System Preferences > Sound. I'd really like to get digital output to my receiver like I had on my previous hackintosh. I hooked up a SPDIF Optical and RCA Out Plate Cable Bracket to the motherboard's SPDIF wire connector but I can't get it to...

Stop the popping in (High) Sierra

Hi all, since upgrading to Sierra I've had the dreaded audio pop problem. Every 30 seconds or so the audio would make a loud pop before playing anything.

The fix used to be 'Antipop' but its developer has stopped maintaining it. This small fix here does the same thing but is verified working in Sierra.

Update: Confirmed working in High Sierra. You may need to re-load the service, see below in Misc on how to do this.

1. Open Terminal (in Utilities) and type:
sudo nano...

Lilu and WhateverGreen kexts not loading properly

Just thought I'd post a quick update on the fun and games I've had over the past day or so to spare the pain I've gone through.

I recently tried using Lilu (1.3.0), WhateverGreen (1.2.6) and AppleALC (1.3.4) to get my HD530 audio working. However, no matter what I did, I just couldn't get the WhateverGreen kext to load. Neither KextBeast or Kext Utility gave me any clues as to what was going wrong. bdmesg also didn't give me any messages.

Anyway, after hours of trial and error, I...

Hi,

I recently build a new Hackintosh CustoMac mATX based on the latest Buyer's Guide. Unfortunately I have no Audio Support. My MainBoard is the Gigabyte H370M DS3H.
It should have a Soundchip RealTek ALC887 with 7.1 Channel
I'm running High Sierra 10.13.6.

Can anyone help me out?

Front Panel Audio Not Working

Hello,

I've been struggling with this for the past few hours and I just don't get this.

I've opened my case to see that there are 2 front panel audio connectors. One being "Audio" (just AUDIO, no HD in front of that), other being "AC97".
However, I suspect it's meant HD Audio, otherwise, what's the point of the 2nd connector?

In BIOS, > Onboard Devices > HD Audio Controller is ENABLED.
Under it, front panel audio controller is set to HD Audio.

However, to get front panel audio to work in...
