Hi to all!
I just very recently discovered Hackintosh and managed to install it in a hdd at my desktop, everything is working very nice except the sound.
In my monitor there are no speakers so I drive the sound from desktop headphones jack to a couple of external speakers.
I have a usb sound card (Scarlett Solo usb) I use for my electric guitar, sound works fine through this option with Hackintosh.
The motherboard is Asus prime z270-a which according the specs is using the following codecs...

[Solved] Updated Sierra to High Sierra lost ALC892 Sound

I just updated a fully working Sierra to High Sierra and everything appears to be working except sound. I tried to reinstall the ALC892 drivers with Multibeast 9.2.1 and Multibeast quits with a segment fault. Also, I noticed that the Multibeast drive install selection dropdown is empty. By the way my SSD was converted to APFS by the install.

No sound on ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero

Hey community,
today I got my new mobo called ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero. I installed High Sierra 10.13.6 and everything is working fine except the sound card. Its just not listed in the soundsettings. I already tried to install the newest VOODO drivers but they just crashed my system.
In the mobo description it says I got a card having this codec:
"8-Kanal High Definition Audio CODEC S1220 ROG SupremeFX"

I am confused because many guides talk about some other cpu architectures. One quick fix...

High Sierra install, sound works with VoodooHDA but not the back 3,5mmjack

Hey guys,

I have successfully managed to install High Sierra yesterday. I have installed VoodooHDA, graphics and ethernet kexts successfully, but unfortunately my back 3,5mm jack that I use for headphones + mic doesn't work. I need the mic working but I have already installed apps and I don't wanna install some kext I am unsure about.

Hi, I was overjoyed when I was able to instal Mac OS El Capitan on my old Acer desktop pc, always dreamed of owning a Mac but could never afford one, installation went very smooth only glitches are I have no audio , tried everything in Multibeast but nothing worked. Audio specs on my pc are, Intel High Definition Audio, S/PDIF Optical Digital Audio. Any help gratefully appreciated. Many Thanks.

Audio Output is not working.

I just updated my hackinthosh to the latest version 10.13.6 (17G2208).
The audio is working when i install the voodoo manually but the problem is the output is in 7.1.
i'm using a 5.1 output. i tried to install optical port(5.1) audio with multibeast. The installation was successful but even after rebooting my computer the audio driver is not working.
i don't know which driver should i install which would work perfectly with my mobo
The mother board is ASUS Maximus Hero 6
i need help :)

Some issue with AC97 Front Panel

I cannot use ac97 to get sound output before.
But I don't know why, after I force-reboot it for few times and boot up normally today,
the front panel works!
Who can tell me how can this happened?
By the way, I've installed Voodoo HDA + Apple ALC before, but only Speakers, one line-out and HDMI output.

Hey Guys,

I'm battling my last remaining issue on my Hackintosh build, and it's a puzzling one. This system was built with the primary purpose of being an audio production machine, so I'm really hoping someone can help me sort this issue out.

It seems to happen when working with audio (Ableton Live). It doesn't happen non-stop, but frequently enough that it's annoying. Basically what happens is occasionally, and seemingly randomly, audio just drops out for 1ms, then comes back.

I have no idea what to do about this and I cannot find anyone with the same problem!

In Windows, it shows up properly as an Optical Output!

I created a simple installer package for toleda's Clover patch for unsupported HD device IDs.

This package allows you to either install or remove the patch from any destination volume. It will mount the EFI partition and will verify that the config.plist is valid before proceeding. Any errors will be logged in install.log.

Hey, using High Sierra & ALC887 for a long time with AppleALC with my headphones connected to the front audio jack and speakers connected to the back audio jack.

My headphones and Internal speakers use the same output when opening the Audio menubar.

If my headphones are connected sounds works only through the headphones using the "Headphones" output. If I remove the headphones connector, the headphones output is changing to "Internal speakers". Selecting it will output audio through the...

My notebook model is MSI GL62 6QF
Sound card model is ALC899, But the sound card model extracted under linux is ALC898
I can't use it after I compiled it a few times.
I hope that the master can compile applealc according to my codec.

Sound delay through the DPport

Every time I play the video or the music, I have to wait for seconds to hear the sound from my computer since the processing bar is already moved. Once the sound is played, the delay would disappear, and the sound is synchronized to the video. The issue would only occur when I use the Digital-out(HDMI) mode as a sound output, and the sound plays well when I use the 3.5mm port and Bluetooth. Hope you guys can help me to fix this problem, thanks a lot!
