Stop the popping in (High) Sierra

Hi all, since upgrading to Sierra I've had the dreaded audio pop problem. Every 30 seconds or so the audio would make a loud pop before playing anything.

The fix used to be 'Antipop' but its developer has stopped maintaining it. This small fix here does the same thing but is verified working in Sierra.

Update: Confirmed working in High Sierra. You may need to re-load the service, see below in Misc on how to do this.

1. Open Terminal (in Utilities) and type:
sudo nano...

@Rehabman,

I am using EAPD Codec Commander and want to use a custom SSDT that can correct No Audio After Sleep / Wake situations that I've had for too long.

Not sure how to correct this?

Trying yours / darkvoid´s node dump script I found nid 0x14 using param 0x0 and nid 0x1b using param 0x0 under EAPD changed value when situation occurs from 0x00000002 to 0x00000000 and audio was lost, using hda-verb...

Long ago I used MacOS High Sierra. Everything worked fine, but after reinstallation (HS 10.13.6) the audio does not work. I do not use multibeast and I do not want to use it because it is not transparent enough. For boot, I use USB only! What's the problem !!!

I just updated my hackinthosh to the latest version 10.13.6 (17G2208).
The audio is working when i install the voodoo manually but the problem is the output is in 7.1.
i'm using a 5.1 output. i tried to install optical port(5.1) audio with multibeast. The installation was successful but even after rebooting my computer the audio driver is not working.
i don't know which driver should i install which would work perfectly with my mobo
The mother board is ASUS Maximus Hero 6
i need help :)

Hi there!

I'm fairly new to the Hackintosh scene, I have gotten the whole thing set up fairly nicely with the glaring omission of the audio.

I have looked around and I know what the ALC I need to find (Kext for Realtek ALC3220) but I can't seem to get anywhere with it.

After struggling with this for a week and installing so many kext I don't know what to do any more.

Any help would be greatly appreciated or if someone has the answer which I haven't found yet then.

Cheers!

Hi, I had successfully installed VoodooHDA.kext and AppleHDADisabler.kext, however, when I am switching on and restarting my device, it automatically picks to "Headphones" instead of "Speakers". Any help on how can I automatically select "Speakers" instead of "Headphones"?

No Audio/Audio Devices After Mojave Update

In High Sierra, whenever I would install an OS update I would have to re-install the audio drivers from Multibeast and reboot my computer. There's a place to choose ALC1150 and another place to choose support for 100 and 200 series board, and I always just checked those and ran Multibeast's installer and all was good.

However, I've just updated to Mojave and that method doesn't work. Do I just need to wait for a new version of Multibeast, or is there a workaround? I read in another thread...

Hi, I am hoping someone can help me with this, I have working sound but sleep breaks it

Background: I had codec-commander kext working on my El-Capitan install and it fixed my no sound after sleep problem. I got help with this from TimeWalker75a at Insanely Mac and I understand he was the original author of codec-commander but development of this has now been taken up by @RehabMan - Unfortunately I lost the kext and I can't now make a new one that works. Hi!
I have an old GA-P35C-DS3R with a Core2Duo E8400 on which I'm trying to install High Sierra. Everything is working except the audio. I used the audio_cloverALC-130.command file and I can see the devices on the preferences. The problem is that the audio is somehow glitch as it keeps getting cut out and in. Any ideias on how to fix it? Is anyone already had this issue?

Thanks!

I'm on a GA-Z170-X with ALC892 audio chipset.
Attached is my current clover plist config file.

Thx

P.S. It works with VoodooHDA-2.9.0-Clover-V12
