Hello Guys,
currently, I'm facing an unusual problem with Realtek ALC221.
As a start, I have followed this guide:

Finally got ALC1150 audio working on Mojave

After two solid days trying every suggestion and tutorial, I got nowhere with enabling ALC1150 audio (Gigabyte GA-H170N, Intel i6700). Even resorting to a ground-up disc format & fresh Mojave install. Then I came across VoodooHDA in a handy installer package.

Double-clicked the installer, rebooted, everything's working. That was it. No config, nothing. I even now have the option of using front or rear mic / headphone inputs and a System Preferences panel for adjusting features I'll...

AppleALC : Fully working audio, Bluetooth Audio, but no bluetooth microphone

Hi,

I am currently having hard time figuring out how to get bluetooth microphone working.

My headset are Skullcandy Wireless Crusher and they work on my real Macbook Pro.

The bluetooth is provided by the motherboard.

It shows up in the input list, however the ui gets laggy and it doesn't seem to recognize any sound.

I'm running macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 (with security update). On Sierra (10.12) I had no issues with ALC892 audio on my ASUS P8Z68-V PRO GEN3 motherboard. But since High Sierra (10.13) my audio stops working randomly and I have to reboot. This happens for no reason whatsoever. I would be booting into High Sierra and audio works great. A few minutes in I would suddenly notice my audio is no longer working. If I go to sound preferences I can still see all the audio devices but there's...

Hello all,

I am new to this community and new to hackintoshing in general. I just built a new machine to use as a hackintosh. The machine is as below

Gigabyte H370 HD3 motherboard with ALC887 audio codec
i5 8400
1 TB SSD
16 GB RAM
On-board Intel 630 GPU for graphics

I managed to get Mojave up using the vanilla install guide and have my ethernet working as well. The issue that I am running into is getting my darn onboard audio to work.

I have followed the AppleHDA Realtek guide but still...

EVERYTHING is working with my upgrade from High Sierra except Audio.

I have tried everything (I think) with the excellent article

Nothing is working.

Does anyone have easy steps I could try to get the S1220A working.
Basically EXACTLY what to clean (Libarary\Extensions) or EFI partition. I know I am stupid.....

Distorted Audio Sound during Apple Start/Loading Screen

During startup I get a quick little distorted audio sound that only lasts a few seconds. Audio goes back to sounding clean after that. However, one time after waking up from sleep I had crackling, static sounding audio.

I haven't been able to find a pattern. A few times I noticed there was no audio distortion sound during boot. It's difficult to understand what the problem is and search for a solution in the search bar.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? (Currently using High Sierra)

hello, i was following the tutorial to enable HDMI audio. but i don't know why my framebuffer @1 keeps in 00 04 00 00 instead of 00 08 00 00 and this makes it looks my external screen fuzzy. can someone tell me what im doing wrong? thanks in advance

Hello,

As the GA-Z77X-UD3H is often dubbed to be (one of) the best Hackintoshable mainboards, I'm surprised to find the amount of trouble I am having in getting the sound to work (VIA VT2021).
There are various guides around but most seem to deal with older versions of OSX, as this is a 2012 board, obviously.

But does anyone have a solution on getting it to work with 10.13 High Sierra?

No audio devices after dual booting windows

Intermittent problem with no audio devices after dual booting from windows 10 back into High Sierra using cloverALC. Windows is using the default microsoft driver and not the realtek drivers.

It may take five or six reboots or an extended shutdown for the audio to be detected back in Mac OS 10.3.6

Ok, recently updated to High Sierra from El Capitan. Installed the ALC892 AppleHDA patch via Multibeast after installation. I have basically unlistenable audio - it skips, stutters, slows down, and distorts horribly. Unless I move the mouse - while the mouse is moving, it sounds fine.

I never had this happen in El Cap, with the same basic configuration. I've tried switching to the Lilu / AppleALC method, but it doesn't help. I'm thinking it may not even be a driver issue. If I watch the...

I've copied Lilu & AppleALC to EFI > Clover > kext > Other ...
Used clover configurator and chose audio inject 1 or 11 or 50 ... no dice.

I'm using 10.12.6 with ASUS PRIME B250M-A motherboard, which has the ALC887 chipset. I have sound working with multibeast realtek audio, but it only provides sound when I use the "Internal Speakers" (actually it's the green port) output option in System Preferences > Sound. I'd really like to get digital output to my receiver like I had on my previous hackintosh. I have Asus b85 Gamer pro with alc 1150. Been facing this problem since sierra. Had to use bluetooth for audio. Just recently solve the problem so i though i should share.
