Afternoon,
I have recently put together a new Hack build, Asrock Z370 Taichi with i7-8700k, and purchased the wifi pcie card from osxwifi. I have had no issues and everything is running properly except for audio. The z370 taichi is running the Realtek ALC1220. I tried following all of the new audio guides for the high sierra workflows to no avail. I did a clone of the drive immediately after clean install so that I could go back and try all the different methods. Below are the steps I...

Hi folks,
I just updated to 10.14 and got a "no output devices found" under the sound panel with the settings app.
I'm on a GA-Z170-X with ALC892 audio chipset.
Attached is my current clover plist config file.

Thx

P.S. It works with VoodooHDA-2.9.0-Clover-V12

Internal speakers/Headphone problem(ALC283) - AppleALC (Mojave)

I'm currently using AppleALC.kext inside Clover->Kexts->Others
Inside Clover->config.plist I have tried various layout IDs using alcid=*whatever the layout id is*. However, there is an issue which is as follows.

With layout-id 3/11/66, both, internal speakers and headphones work. However, through headphones, the audio sounds like an echo with mostly music and hardly any vocals. Internal speakers work fine though.

With layout-id 1/2- Headphones sound...

Hi Guys,
I have a mini atx build running High Sierra and everything was running perfect until suddenly the audio stopped working. Video plays fine, everything runs smooth, except that the computer isnt picking up any audio drivers which is very strange. Im running onboard graphics GA Z97N and onboard audio, with 16gb of ram. Not really much to the computer. On a side note, it also boots REALLY slow... almost takes 5 mins to boot into the desktop.

Any help is welcome.

Dell Optiplex 9020 Mid Tower / Realtek ALC3220

Hi there!

I'm fairly new to the Hackintosh scene, I have gotten the whole thing set up fairly nicely with the glaring omission of the audio.

I have looked around and I know what the ALC I need to find (Kext for Realtek ALC3220) but I can't seem to get anywhere with it.

After struggling with this for a week and installing so many kext I don't know what to do any more.

Any help would be greatly appreciated or if someone has the answer which I haven't found yet then.

Cheers!

Bluetooth headphones connect, but no audio

My headphones used to work just fine. (Skullcandy Uproar)

But a few weeks ago, it just stopped putting audio through. It connects easily, I can change the volume, it gives feedback when I hit minimum and maximum volume, but no audio is coming through.

I use Premiere Pro a lot, so even tried getting the audio through the audio hardware setting in there, but still nothing. I also tested the system with another pair of Bluetooth speakers, and they play fine. Also, the headsets works fine when...

Audio gone after Pro Tools install (I think)

Hi,

I've succesfully installed High Sierra using uni/multibeast. All was working well until I installed Pro Tools 12.5.2. Then MacOS doesn't recognize my audio output (ie no device in settings). I even installed 12.5.0 before and then it worked fine. So I'm wondering if the Pro Tools installer might have overwritten some kexsts or is interfering with my audio in any way.

I tried reinstalling Reltek AKC877/888b from Multibeast a couple of times and updeated Clover to newest version....

ALC892 - High Sierra shows no audio on Kaby Lake Mini PC

I wanted to give a mini pc a hackintosh try and used a chinese HYSTOU i3-7100u with Intel 620 HD Graphics. Used the latest clover and rehab man's config.plist for intel 620 graphics. Installation went fine without any problems, I used only a small set of necessary files in kexts and drivers64UEFI folder. The BIOS of this machine is an American Megatrends that offers a lot of settings, so DVMT settings were possible and my graphics are recognized in High Sierra with "Intel HD Graphics 620...

Sierra boots fine but it boots 2 minutes longer than usual boot times. I'm getting this message in verbose mode

kextd busy timeout IOHDACodecFunction, IOHDACodecFunction, IOHDACodecFunction

Audio still works by using toleda's CloverALC script 120. Before that (in El Capitan) I'm using toleda's RealtekALC 110 and I had no problems whatsoever.

My codec is ALC 888. I'm attaching my dsdt.aml file.

Hi,

I just managed to rename my Audio USB devices because I want to get rid of labels like "Unknown USB Audio" etc,...

This is nothing new but quite helpful.

By using the "SampleUSBAudioOverrideDriver" codeless kext from Apple you're able to change the name of output interface.

Refer to original code from Apple Developer site:
https://developer.apple.com/library...SBAudioOverrideDriver/Introduction/Intro.html

I'm having a issue where Mojave just doesn't wanna work with my audio drivers anymore. It used to work for High Sierra but I did a fresh install of Mojave and it's not working at all. I've included all the files required.

Audio Codec: Realtek ALC3253 (ALC225)

AppleALC High CPU Temp & System Usage

Hi,
I had a Dell Inspiron 7370 laptop. The audio is working fine with latest AppleALC and Lilu kext. However, when I use AppleALC with the right inject id (13 and 28), the CPU temp goes up and the frequency stays around 3.7 GHz. I also tried AppleHDA Patcher, which is similar to using AppleALC with id=3 (which it can recognize but no sound). Besides no sound, the CPU has the exact same issue. Here I have uploaded Intel Power Gadget monitoring just when the system started. Also a problem...

I just successfully installed Mojave on a laptop I had sitting around. It is a Dell Inspiron 15 3521, everything works, but the audio. I've tried everything and really had no progress with the sound issue. I've tried Voodoo HDA kext, which didn't work, then I tried APPLE ALC kext which also didn't work and I've been trying everything that the internet there at me. I've done several clean installs to ensure I wasn't messing with any conflicting audio kexts, and at this point I have no idea...

Unable to get sound through Audirvana DAC set-up

Hi all,

I am now under Mojave 10.14.
I can listen my music using internal speakers output, connected to my NAD amplifier.
However if I select NAD DAC as an output, as soon as I launch a playlist my output switch automaticaly to internal speakers and have no sound, as output selected from Audirvana is DAC one.

Anyone have an idea of what's going wrong?

Thanks in advance for your support!

Cheers

Adding audio codec AppleALC

Does anybody have any advice re "Adding audio codec AppleALC" - any tutorials?

Have learnt that the Realtek S1200A codec (ASUS TUF Z390M-PRO) is not supported by AppleALC, at least not yet.

Seems like adding this codec to AppleALC would open up a few options for anyone with this and similar boards.

TIA
