I've tried applealc.kext and lilu.kext with different layout id's as specified on codec support however even after experimenting with all layout-id's no audio device is detected.

Hi Guys,

I have a quick question. I have installed Mac OS X on the Latte Panda Alpha. I have everything working, except HDMI Audio. I have Wifi, BT, GPU etc. I have looked over Novaspirits Video and files and he has got audio to work using VoodooHDA.kext, this shows the ports and audio works on the 3.5MM Jack but nothing on HDMI. I have tried AppleALC.kext however after trying every inject I hadn't got a single audio device to show up.

Hey guys,
I've reinstalled to Mojave today (after having Sierra for a long time)
and I can't figure out how to fix the audio.
My motherboard uses ALC892, its an H97M-D3H board. [i5 4460-GTX750Ti if it matters somehow]

I've tried using KextBeast with the kext I have on my old Hackintosh install usb but it didn't work (it had AppleALC kext) =[
Also tried using Multibeast High Sierra's 100/200/300 Audio & Multibeast High Sierra's ALC892 driver - but the process didn't work as well. Also,...

Audio was not working after Multibeast configuration using Rltk ALC887. Tried the legacy version as well but no dice.

Audio is the thing that always causes me the most grief whenever I build a hackintosh. Sometimes the suggested fixes work and sometimes they don't.

I have discovered that either the AppleALC or Voodoo universal codexes always work when I have audio issues like this but I have noticed that using them has a suppressing effect on volume. I have to either turn the volume up...

I'm using 10.12.6 with ASUS PRIME B250M-A motherboard, which has the ALC887 chipset. I have sound working with multibeast realtek audio, but it only provides sound when I use the "Internal Speakers" (actually it's the green port) output option in System Preferences > Sound. I'd really like to get digital output to my receiver like I had on my previous hackintosh. I hooked up a SPDIF Optical and RCA Out Plate Cable Bracket to the motherboard's SPDIF wire connector but I can't get it to...

Hi guys
I have been searching this sound issue for 2 weeks. I tried many different ways. RealtekALC.kext that I used didn't work, so I used AppleALC.kext. It works perfectly.
mine is ALC867=ALC3863 (hp mini desktop). and others who have ALC891 (Asus Z97-P). I think it will work too.

installation
1. if you have voodoohda or realtekalc, you need to remove or uninstall it. restart
2. Retore original AppleHDA.kext. this kext is important. bring it back.

Hello guys,
I have a Custom Budget ATX hackintosh (Gigabyte H370 HD3, Intel Core i3-8100) with OS Mojave.
I’ve set multibeast after installation and everything seems to work, everything but not the audio.

So I just installed Mojave with audio driver Realtek ACLxxx (optional HD 3000/4000 HDMI Audio) in Multibeast High Sierra Edition and restarted and I have no luck with sound. Need some help ladies and gents. I have a EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 256mb according to About this Mac/ Display.

Hello,

I have an Asus vivobook x405u. I am trying to get the audio working without having to use voodoo. I saw that rehabman has a patch for hda, but I have no idea how to go about doing it. Can somebody let me know if they have successfully patched hda with this codec or enlighten me as to what my best option would be ?

Hello all,

I had audio working fine for over 8 months on my hackintosh.

I tried using a custom resolution setting with the application Switchresx and now some audio options are lost.

I had:
- Digital optical out
- Line out (3.5mm from motherboard)
- Displayport out


Now I only have displayport out available. I need the digital optical out.

Any idea why this may have happened? I obviously removed the custom resolution and it did not fix it.

Hi guys,

I've successfully managed to fresh install macOS High Sierra on my hackintosh with msi Z97 Gaming 3 mobo. However, as always I've run into the problem of no audio. I've tried some tutorials on this forum with VoodoHD and Realtek audio guides no luck. If I remember clearly back in Sierra, using Multibeast I think I installed ALC 1150, 898 kexts for audio on this board. Not 100% sure.

Could you please help me get back Audio on this mobo. It sucks because back then, we could use...

Having successfully finished my hackintosh, I couldn't help but notice the audio is always in mono. How do I fix this?

El Capitan on Intel DX58SO

Hi, setting up El Capitan as a fresh install via UEFI/Clover, I am unable to get audio up.

Specs:

Intel i7 920
Intel DX58SO motherboard with latest BIOS
Nvidia GTX 760

I used the tolled ALC-110 script, which shows 4 audio devices, Headphone, Line Out, Line Out, and Digital Out.
Front panel audio works with Line Out #2, but none to the motherboard ports are working.

Attached are the appropriate files.

Any help would be appreciated.
